Abstract

Schools have long been in existence but until . recent years little has been done to attempt to adapt them to the interests and needs of children so as to better fit them to take their place in the work of the world. As this purpose of education has been coming into prominence, methods for accomplishing it have brought many problems before the educators. Changes in methods of teaching, enrichment of the courses of study, and the extension of equipment for teaching, are factors which have been brought forward toward forwarding the real purposes of education.
