Abstract

In my view, in this complex and ever-changing world, it is becoming more and more desirable for the United States, a world leader, to have increased knowledge of the language, history and culture of foreign countries, and a better understanding of their contributions to modem civilization, so that the United States can become a better world leader by better understanding other peoples and cultures.
