Abstract
In carrying on the work in a high school library, as in all libraries, it often is necessary to consult book reviews as a means for guiding book purchases, as a means for answering the questions on the latest best seller and as a means for keeping abreast of the ever-rising flood of fiction and nonfiction which comes from the printing presses every week of the year. Because of the dependence of the librarian upon such aids, the present study has been made to determine which review sheets are the most worthwhile among four which are quite generally used in Catholic high school libraries . The four publications considered in the investigation are America, Best Sellers, Books on Trial and Sign.
