Abstract
The idea for this essay actually grew out of an experience in the framework of making the Exercises, in which the Ghrist of the Gospel was encountered as the Fool. Afterwards, I found myself searching the texts of the Exercises, and saw that the symbol of Christ as the Rejected One, the Fool, actually could be found within the Spiritual Exercises themselves .
