Abstract
This study addresses itself to the question of whether or not the CPA's acting as a management consultant to an audit client creates a conflict, in fact or in appearance, with the CPA's necessary audit-independence. Other related problems such as competence, standards of performance, and questions relating to referrals will not be considered.
