Abstract
In the present study an attempt is being made to show in what respects the two systems of education are similar. Particular attention is given to "learning by doing" in both systems. Specifically under consideration are the background i.e., the then existing system of education in both countries and its demerits which set the scene for both of these men to emerge with a particular type of educational system for their countries; the philosophy underlying each of these systems; and the curriculum.
