Abstract
Over the years, much controversy has taken place concerning homework and its related problems. Teachers, administrators, and parents have all taken part in this discussion. Articles both pro and con have appeared both in professional and lay literature. Many activities participated in by pupils during the out of school hours, have become so important so as to compete with homework or replace it completely.
