Abstract
One of the most important boundary value problems in engineering and mathematical physics is commonly known as the Dirichlet Problem after P.G.L. Dirichlet who was the first to attempt a general existence proof. The problem as simply stated is that of finding a harmonic function in a region when the values are known on the boundary. there are several different formulations and proof of which we shall pick one of the most general and recent due to O. Perron.
