Abstract
A notable increase in stream pollution has resulted from industrial growth and development. Consequently, the treatment of industrial wastes is vitally important. Industry is becoming more and more aware of the necessity for waste treatment and pollution abatement, not only because of its effects on the general welfare of the public but also because of its dependence on rivers and streams for suitable water for manufacturing processes.
