Abstract
During the decade which has passed since the cessation of hostilities of World War II, the world political situation has shown a complete transition from a sincere desire for peaceful coexistence to a period of watchful waiting based upon a balance of military power and fear of retaliation. This situation is the direct result of the discovery of the destructive power of the various atomic, hydrogen, and thermo-nuclear devices which science has improved substantially since the original experimentation.
