Abstract
Child abuse has become one of the leading social ills of the past decade. The media and governmental agencies report that cases of child abuse and neglect are on the rise. This increase in reported cases is attributed to the media, educational programs in schools and of trained professionals succeeding in educating people about issues of child abuse.
