Abstract
The task of every person - of every individual - is to truly know himself, to have developed a true self-concept. This task isn't an easy one. For this reason there is a need for guidance in education. The "why" of guidance is to help man understand himself and his relations to other men and to his environment. Guidance attempts to help develop the entire man, his powers, abilities and potentials. Guidance endeavors t help in the attainment of a true understanding of self and the environment around this self.
