Abstract
The relations between Mexico and the United States of America have never been completely harmonious. Perhaps this is because of the close proximity of the two nations and the conflicting nature of their histories and cultures. Even to the present day, Mexicans regard Americans as greedy, grasping and soul-less, and Americans believe that Mexicans are inept in politics, lazy and unable to resolve their myriad of social problems.
