Abstract
Americans have shown interest in Greece from early times. On March 25, 1821, the Greeks began their battle to win their liberation from the Turks. It was a devastating war which lasted almost ten years. Americans in many walks of life were keenly interested and deeply concerned about the out come of the Greek Revolutionary War and the fate of the Greek people. During this time, America was deeply involved with the status of the newly emerging countries of Latin-America and their relations with Europe. In this paper, the sentiments of the people and the official position of America toward Greece will be shown.
