Abstract

In the past several years there has been an increased amount of emphasis placed upon the efficient utilization of all of our national and natural resources. The foreign oil embargo of 1973, which resulted in shortages of gasoline and other related products, and the severe winter of 1976-77, with its natural gas crisis, makes it alarmingly clear that all of our resources are not infinite but finite.
