Abstract
This study was undertaken in an attempt to determine the predictive value of the relationship which exists between mental ability and achievement in the sciences commonly taught in high school. The records of two hundred graduates of Our Lady of Peace High School in St. Paul, Minnesota, provided data for the study. The scores on the Otis Quick Scoring Mental Ability Test, Advanced Form, the standard scores on the Iowa Tests of Educational Development, Test Four, as well as the teachers' grades in science for these students were used in the study.
