Abstract

Having the student accept the responsibility for developing his intellectual potential is a major problem confronting high school counselors and teachers today. On the one hand, there is the student whose nonacademic affiliations are so vast and varied that one wonders that he achieves academically at all. On the other hand, there is an upsurge in educational spending so sudden and staggering that one becomes aware that something has gone remiss.
