Abstract
What is mental health? It has been defined as a way of living so that a person is well adjusted to his social environment, both from his own point of view and from the point of view of others. We all strive toward the ideal of perfect mental health but seldom do we reach it. Everyone has emotional problems and whether they make us ill or not depends on the strength of our personality to cope with stress and strain. To be mentally healthy, a person must be able to deal with reality constructively, even when the chips are down. The better one copes with natural and man-ma.de hazards, the better a person's mental health.
