Abstract

While polls show that discipline continues to be paramount in the minds of many people, teachers and administrators who handle discipline problems daily find that these people have two prevailing attitudes about discipline. First, everyone seems convinced that no matter what the status of the discipline, there is a need for it to be more strict; secondly, it seems to be generally assumed that discipline is for everyone else's youngster.
