Abstract
This paper is an attempt primarily to clarify and prove some of the statements left unproved by Gerald Berman and Robert J . Silverman in their article "Near Rings" which appeared in the January, 1959 issue of The American Mathematical Monthly, Vol. 66 (1959). Their paper discusses some of the elementary properties of near-rings and brings together a wide range of study done by others on near-rings.
