Abstract

Children have fundamental needs that must be fulfilled if they are to grow. As their body develops so also must a basic thrust, a sense of worth, a joy in achieving. Normally, in the encouraging environment of the home with the security of loving parents, there is a gradual acquisition of physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional strengths and skills. Later as the environment expands, the school also assumes a role in this growth.
