Abstract
Painters or sculptors, when representing in their works the Blessed Trinity, usually choose a symbol - frequently a dove - in order to indicate the presence of the Holy Spirit together with the faces of Father and Son. The Spirit has, so to speak, no face; he does not confront us by showing us his face but rather lives in the soul of the Christian person and is at the source of all his actions. For this reason, any attempt to describe the person of the Holy Spiri t and his role is a difficult undertaking.
