Abstract

PURPOSE

Engineering unionism is a unique phenomenon, differing from other forms of unionism, particularly the production union. This general conclusion on the nature of engineering unions resulted from an authoritative study of this type of union in 1961. Since that time there has been very little literature published on either the nature or the impact of engineering unions.
