Abstract
The sales of children's books has increased in recent years. Adult books have increased in number but not at the swift pace of children's books. The extent of the upward trend in sales of children's books can be noted by the more than sixty children's book editors who promoted the 1956 Book Week activities. The children's book editors "boasted of the sales in children's books which help float their entire publishing business in ways unknown in the past.
