Abstract

Little is known of nursing and nursing education in Thailand by nurses in other countries. One of the reasons for this is the lack of communication between the nurses of Thailand and the nurses of the rest of the world. This is not true of education generally, for Thai leaders have studied abroad and are able to apply the concepts gained to their own situations. The development of nursing and nursing education is dependent upon the concepts and vision of those who devote their lives to the care of the sick. Progress has been made, for doctors have been abroad and have returned with new ideas which they shared with the leaders and students in nursing. This is a slow and difficult process.
