Abstract

There is a definite relationship between an individual's perception of the world around him and the attitudinal patterns he displays. In turn, these attitudinal patterns are related to, and dependent upon, the meaning the individual attaches to a given situation, experience, or concept. Knowledge of the meaning delinquent youths place upon concepts relating to such entities as the family and the community, which play such an i important role in the life of every human being, could shed some light upon the rather complicated and involved subject of juvenile delinquency.
