Abstract

The Computer Numerical Control, (CNC) is a general purpose multi axis positioning control with a digital computer as the controlling element. The amount of work done by the computer will vary from one system to another with the r remaining work handled by hardwired electronics. More functions put within the programs of the computer will reduce the required amount of electronic hardware and thereby reduce some of the cost of the total control.
