Abstract

This investigation was intended to determine through a questionnaire and to report as accurately as possible the teachers' opinions of the supervisory techniques presently employed in the Elmbrook junior high schools, Brookfield, Wisconsin. Specifically, this study was attempted to obtain knowledge regarding the extent of supervisory techniques experienced by the teachers, the benefits and/or detriments received from those practices employed, and the extent of benefits and/or detriments that could be received if those techniques not per performed were initiated. This study also attempted to determine significant variations in the opinions of teachers according to their sex and their number of years of teaching experience.
