Abstract

In recent years we have become totally aware of the fact that we cannot remain independent of the rest of the world. With this new awareness has dawned also a language-consciousness. We realize that our citizens must be better trained linguistically, that knowledge of foreign languages must be a vital part of the education of our people. When and how this is to be accomplished becomes a distinct problem for the school administrator. He must see that the aim of a better linguistically trained public is realistically met.
