Abstract

As a result of the scientific orientation of our culture, moral training and value development is given low priority in the school curriculum. However, in this age of moon exploration and the megaton bomb, the teaching of values at all levels of education seems extremely important since upon such teaching. The broadening of each student's philosophy of life , anchored on a solid foundation of values should be a major goal of each school system. Many students are morally starved. The schools , in part , are responsible for their moral starvation. The time has arrived now for the schools to take note and provide moral sustenance.
