Abstract

The role of the museum in the educational process has changed greatly over the past 25 years. This is especially evident when viewing the Museum of Science in Boston. During that period it has developed from the Boston Society of Natural History, with exhibits consisting primarily of stuffed animals and limited educational programs, to the Museum of Science, which functions increasingly as a science resource center for both teachers and students.
