Abstract

Located at the center of a vast commercial trade route, Corinth, in the time of St. Paul, was much afflicted with the evils common to a city so located. A population which included Greeks, Romans, Jews., free men and slaves, people of every race and social standing, soon incorporated every known vice into the pattern of its daily living. Corinth was- a challenge to the apostolic heart of St. Paul.
