Abstract
Never before in the history of education has such emphasis been placed on the process of aiding the individual to adapt himself to his environment, and in helping him to solve his own problems in the light of self-experience and the experience of others. As we delve more deeply into the fields of psychology and the social sciences, we are increasingly aware of the individual's need to develop as befits his individuality, utilizing all his resources in his quest for his ultimate goals. Psychology has given us new insights about the nature of individual differences and the relationships that every human being experiences with himself, other individuals, and society as a whole. Our amazing technological and scientific progress has served to intensify the need for each person to be able to develop and utilize his whole potential.
