Abstract

For many years the teaching Sisters of the Congregation of the Sorrowful Mother had been asking for a guide, a book of directives, that would aid them in their teaching career. Knowledge of this need prompted the writer to undertake the task of compiling such a handbook as part of a research study. The purpose of this study is to acquaint the principals and teachers, religious and lay, in the elementary schools staffed by the Sisters of the Sorrowful Mother with accepted policies and practices.
