Abstract

Since the instruction of spelling is receiving its share of criticism in our time , it is well to examine the techniques which are being used and evaluate our approach to this phase of the language arts. This study is an attempt to apply a certain set of techniques to a list of words on an experimental basis. It is based on the assumption that these techniques will enable pupils to learn and retain the correct spelling of these words.
