Abstract

If one assumes that, at some point in a career, a person knows all there is to know about theorizing and practicing their profession, then there is no need for in-service education. If one assumes, that all employees entering the job market are fully skilled and completely informed about all the facets and nuances of the school, then, again, there is no need for in-service training. On the other hand, if one disagrees with the above assumptions, then there is an obvious, reasonable rationale for in-service education. This writer assumes the latter.
