Abstract

Th causes of truancy have been the object of many careful studies. Today we are able to analyze the problem as never before . It has been said, according to Benntt, that "living involves not so much a matter of the adjustment to problems as the adjustment to having problems". The word problem comes from the Greek meaning something thrown forward" . From this it can be said that a problem may be looked at some imminent or future adjustment for which some preparation can be made.
