Abstract

This manual includes the User Manual and the Technical Documentation for the Beam Program and the Beam Column Program. The Beam Program and the Beam Column Program were written in Applesoft Basic for the design and analysis of steel sections using the procedures of the AISC Manual, 8th Edition. These programs aid in the selection of the most economical "W", "M" or "S" sections . The program will select the most economical section for each depth group considered for the "W" sections. Any "W", "M", "S" or "I" shaped weldment can be checked to determine if the section is adequate under the given conditions.
