Abstract

It is well established that there is a pattern to the develop¬
ment of dental caries in children. The most common sites of dental
caries are on the occlusal and proximal surfaces of the teeth. The
incidence of dental caries appears to be under the influence of
independent factors on the occlusal surfaces and the proximal sur¬
faces of posterior teeth and also the proximal surfaces of anterior
teeth.
