Creator's notes: Here I created a short playlist of songs from the band "They Might Be Giants", which I curated. The original inspiration art piece immediately brought to mind a lyric from the song "SenSurround" which is written from the perspective of a baby in the womb, feeling the world for the first time due to sound and music. I then decided to feature songs that were inspired by the songs previously, either in theme, story, music, or lyrics to help put together this tour of a band that I have loved since I was a kid.

In looking at the pieces, nothing stood out to me. I tried to meditate on each one and see if anything sprang to mind. Finally, maybe just by coincidence, the piece I chose made me think about being inside a belly, a baby or some other creation, being mulled over and grown, and the song "SenSurround" came to me, specifically just the idea that the song was written from that perspective, a baby in the womb getting spoken to by the world the first time due to this obscure technology called SenSurround. The line "The world first spoke to me in SenSurround" just felt right. I then decided to follow with a set of songs, each one inspired by the one before. With a band that has over 900 published works this was at times difficult as some songs inspired multiple choices. In those situations I tended towards the ones that I just enjoyed more or I felt were more emblematic of the band.
