Abstract
Since it was believed that the study of the editorial policies of a paper, removed from the metropolitan field and thriving in a community of 28,000 people, would advance knowledge concerning the small daily field, the following thesis was written.
A comparison was made of editorial space devoted to national, state and city issues.
It is also the aim or this work to point out the gradual changing of a daily from a strictly party organ to an "on-the-fence" publication.
