Abstract
Soccer football, in comparison with other great sport activities in the United States, has not been publicized to any representative extent either in the press or through literary discussions. As a student of the game I have been unable to discover any available authoritative work that embodies presentation of all its important points in necessary detail.
From a number of pamphlets, booklets, and articles, an attempt has been made to organize the diversified knowledge that seems of most value, together with additions of my own. Several moot questions, especially in the technique, have been studied carefully, and those standpoints considered best have been presented.
If ever a fellow student delves into this dissertation and obtains enlightment or a bit of satisfaction, I will be amply repaid for its preparation.
