Abstract
Today, such expressions as, "The Community Players", "The Community Play-house", and "The Community Drama", evidence the interest in the revival of the drama as a community enterprise. The drama, in its European infancy, was very decidedly a community affair. It was a community affair from the standpoint both of production and of observation. In this thesis we shall trace the evolution of the Medieval Drama in its popular, social relationships, and endeavor to show how and in what respects it belonged to all of the people.
