Abstract
The leaves used for the study of the tissues were those of the Oleander, Ficus, Ivy, Cyperus and the Aristolochia. Portions of the leaves used were cut into rectangular pieces, about one centimeter long and one half centimeter wide, each piece including a portion of a large vein and its subsidiary veinlets. The material was placed into chrome acetic acid solution. After twenty four hours it was a shed in running water for twelve hours and then dehydrated by means of alcohol, and was then imbedded in paraffin. The sections used for the study were cut from 12 to 15 microns in thickness.
