Abstract
To devote a portion of his undergraduate work to some study in which the Milwaukee Journal would be the guiding factor, was long a cherished ambition of the writer. It was his sincerest desire to remove from the yellowed and brittle newsprint of the Journal's past to a more permanent existence the essential characteristics of the editorial ideals and news policy upon which the late Lucius w. Nieman, founded the paper, and through which he inspired the confidence of its readers.
