Abstract
The problem of this paper involves an investigation and study of the Apostolic Character of Religious Life. The basic procedure entails an examination of various Christian sources and Church teachings that affirm this necessarily Apostolic Character. To evaluate significant material somewhat systematically it is helpful to consider the more recent twentieth century references; and then to trace these statements directly or by implication to their previous sources and thereby locate, if possible, the roots of current theologizing in primitive Christian Tradition and Sacred Scripture. The conclusion represents an attempt to see how only the Redemptive "Life of Christ" truly effects Christian Apostolic harmony in religious life.
