Abstract
Women entering the workforce today are finding an increasingly broader means of developing themselves professionally through their careers. There are a number of factors that contribute to this, among them: many companies and industries have eliminated previous discriminatory practices that had restricted both the hiring of women and the progression of their career paths; more women are achieving advanced degrees and utilizing them; and societal acceptance of professionally employed women is growing. Opportunities for personal growth, self-achievement, improved self confidence and feelings of self-worth and financial independence are great.
