Abstract
The mystery of God's sharing His Being with nothingness through His creative fiat pales before this His stooping to wed contingency with Actuality, human universe with Triune Beatitude. In adoring faith, together with the first theologian reverently seeking understanding, "Child, why did you behave toward us in this way," theologians of the Church, with her encouragement and guidance, have struggled through twenty centuries to ever increasing penetration of the core mysteries of Triune God, Redemptive Incarnation, and Grace. Positive theology clears the way for speculative theology; speculative theology, in turn, gives precision of expression and new insights. So, the Word, the Image of the Father, continues to be made flesh, to reveal supreme Reality before which all participated realities stand abashed, to weave words into poetry to make all poetry silent.
