Abstract
Burns are among the most painful and complicated injuries to ,mankind. Any burn of ten percent or more of the body surface is a serious burn. In our nation approximately two million persons suffer from burns each year and about ten thousand die as a result of burns . Most deaths occur during the winter. Each day, approximately ten thousand hospital beds are occupied by patients with burns. Recent estimates reveal that seventy five percent of burns occur in the home and about twenty percent in industry.
