Abstract

Automation, with its demand for highly technical skilled laborers, and the increasing acknowledgment for the necessity of higher learning have led to the enlargement and development of many colleges and universities. With the development of small colleges, new services in placement have been expected. A comparatively new field has arisen in college placement. The excess of demand over supply of college graduates and the selective attitude of alumni have created a new demand on the procedures of placement officers.
